New Twinmama
I have four and a half month old twins, John and Eleanor. They were the result of ivf and were born at 28 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. They came home about a month and a half ago and I feel like we are settling into a good routine. (read= I am now able to do slightly more during the day than basic baby care)

John and Eleanor are doing very well and are doing everything that a baby their corrected age should do.
I sometimes find myself wondering what things would be like if they had come closer to their due date. They are still on apnea monitors and take meds for reflux.

I think that knowing other mamas of twins would be very helpful.
Did anyone else have preemie twins?

Welcome to the group! I should mention that the rest of us know eachother from another (public) message board and wanted a place where we could talk to others in our same position "in private." Sometimes it seemed like there were more lurkers gawking at our kiddos than there were twinmamas there to support one another--boo hiss.

We have a couple preemie twins in our group, but I'm not sure they've made it over to the LJ group.

I love your babies' names. Do you have photos?

Yes. Their pictures are here. You can see how far they've come.

I hear you!

My twins - Emma and Brandon are 6 months and 5 days old. They were 4 weeks early and spent 20 days in hospital.

Welcome to the group.

I didn't have preemies, but just wanted to say welcome! I love the name Eleanor! A good friend of mine has that for a middle name and I call her that all the time! It's a great name!!! Welcome and glad to hear you are doing o.k. It does get a easier as time goes by!

Hi there! My twins aren't here yet (any day, hopefully!), however I have a very good friend who had twins at 29 weeks & they are doing very well now.

They were born early last november, and their due date was mid-January (I'm not sure what that makes their age now, corrected or otherwise), but they're eating cereal and nearly crawling now. One of the babies had a VSD which required open heart surgery, and he's doing really well now.

Welcome to our group!
