Quick question - did you buy two potty chairs or just one? Was potty training your twins any different from training singletons? Did you train them at the same time or separately?

Thanks!

this is my first pregnancy (so first babies) and EVEN THOUGH I SPECIFICALLY ASKED in my registry no clothes (we have lots of hand-me-downs which I am totally fine with) I think from our showers we ended up with something like 70 NEWBORN (0-3 months) onesies. My husband is joking all the time "We have TONSIES!" I know people mean (meant) well with giving us all these newborn clothes but I am telling you seriously I have done 7 FULL loads of laundry of all baby clothes and I can't imagine having the time and stamina to keep up with everything. What would you do? I don't have room for all these clothes!

Then again I'm thinking HEY I'm having twins so I definitely need more than I can imagine.

My specific question is could you point me to a list of supplies, like how many of the things I ACTUALLY NEED, for 2 girls? How many onesies, how many sleepers, how many blankets (I think I have 20 blankets lol), how many hats, etc. for twins.

THANK YOU!

I'm trying to keep it together here but I feel all these clothes are driving me crazy! !!

Someone posted awhile back in their journal, a see-saw toy for two. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, can you repost it here for me?? Thank you!!!

OK, OK, so I know that it's early for sharing according to all the books, blah blah. But c'mon, gals, we have twins. This isn't about playing at a playdate. This is about keeping my daughters from beating the crap out of each other over stupid things. >.<

OK, it's not that bad. Most of the time. But seriously, they will fight over anything, and the distraction tactic just isn't working anymore. Whoever loses will have a complete and utter meltdown. This is really wearing on me. What did you gals do about it?

PS: No discernable words save "mama" at 17 months. Worry or no?

Got this link from a mom in my local MOMs group - found it to be very interesting.

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/24/national/24twins.html?pagewanted=1&ei=5070&en=09f69f3942e10c93&ex=1144040400

From other reading I've done, and the responses, thoughts are pretty split 50/50. Another mother mentioned that the school district where the girls would go are, for the most part, respectful of the parents' choice - that the parents know their child's learning style better than anyone in the school district.

So, have any of you even thought about this yet? At this point, I would tend to keep them together, at least in any preschool/Mother's Day Out program we would choose, but I know that I have a long way and many different personality changes to go through before a real decision can be made.

Thought I would post a phone update from Katie:

“Hi everyone. Just want to let you know that I'm in the hospital. I'm going to be delivering by c-section probably within the next couple of hours. My blood pressure was up today so they sent me on up. I'll keep you all posted.”

We should have new babies soon!!!  EEK!

I have four and a half month old twins, John and Eleanor. They were the result of ivf and were born at 28 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. They came home about a month and a half ago and I feel like we are settling into a good routine. (read= I am now able to do slightly more during the day than basic baby care)

John and Eleanor are doing very well and are doing everything that a baby their corrected age should do.
I sometimes find myself wondering what things would be like if they had come closer to their due date. They are still on apnea monitors and take meds for reflux.

I think that knowing other mamas of twins would be very helpful.
Did anyone else have preemie twins?

Todd & I went shopping today & I was trying to explain to him why the Bumbo seats are So Cool.

If you have/had one, help me explain why they're cool. :)
